We spent the Lunar New Year at Uncle Pang's place where there were dogs and babies everywhere. It was great fun and lots of good food to be had by all.
Thanks for a great party, Uncle Pang.

This is Gwen's first time at Chilis. She loved the steamed broccoli, corn and the crayons.

One more shot!
ok...I still can't believe I was able to get more than one picture of Gwen without her grabbing at the camera. All because of her new dolls courtesy of Ninang Christine.
Thanks, Chris.
Thanks, Chris.
Thanks, Ninang!
You are seeing Gwen play with her first dolls. Ninang Christine gave her these dolls and a matching stroller. She was mesmerized...no, I mean, she was truly entranced. I was actually able to snap this picture without her grabbing at the camera, because she was busy giving the baby a kiss on the forehead.
Thanks, Ninang Christine.
Thanks, Ninang Christine.
Whine monster!!!
A very unpleasant phase is upon us. As G's ability to express preference increase, so does her whining. GEEZ! I thought I had a few more months till terrible twos.

Hug your baby today...
A lifetime ago, I taught preschool. In my first class, there was a beautiful little girl. Sweet little smile, perfect hair (quite a feat for a 4 year old) and spoke barely any English. When she didn't understand what I said, she just smiled. At naptime, she would ask me to rub her cheek to help her sleep. In the first few weeks, she would ask for her sister Vickie to come and visit her.
It's been 7 months since her death and I saw a poster of her today. Her family had set up a foundation to campaign for safe driving - www.rebekaverafoundation.org
I have not seen her in more than 10 years and now she is gone. Suddenly I miss her.

George posting:
I was so hungry today when I got back from work that I had to have a triscuit. Gwen felt the same way. As I was chomping down on my triscuit, I caught Gwendolyn's attention from across the room. She waddled over and pleaded with me for a nibble. As I towered above her, she persisted to pull at my pants to get my attention. When I refused to offer her a bite, her pleading magnified. Pathetically she dropped to her knees and continued to still pull at my pants. Ordinarily I would have given her some food, but I knew her grandmother just gave her a big dinner and that Gwendolyn was just being curious. When her pulling proved ineffective, Gwendolyn started to arch her back and beg more. By now she had already let go of my pants but her back arch grew deeper and deeper. The whining made Gwen forget the laws of gravity as the blood rushed to her big little head. As the blood deposits pushed her to the point of no return, the weight of her head forced her to fall back. The back of her oval head thudded onto the carpeted square. There were a few moments of silence as Gwen tried to figure out what went wrong. I had to hold my breath so I wouldn't break out in laughter. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. However I wanted to save my chuckle until I was sure she was ok. As Gwen rolled herself back up she started to cry loudly. At this point I knew she was fine so I burst out laughing. Gwen's grandmother picked her up and distracted her. In less than 5 seconds Gwen was back to her old self. It's true when they say, "As long as nobody dies we can laugh about it."

GuGu's dog
Ok, Gugu. If you don't come back soon, I might start pulling your dog's ears. Just kidding... I'll take care of him while you're away.
My new sleeper for Tita Lillian
Although Gwen seems really fascinated by the hanger, the sleeper is a perfect fit. It will be keeping her nice and warm for these long winter months. Thanks a lot, Tita Lillian.
Gift from The Reagans
Gwen loves a bath and now she loves it even more with her new monogrammed towel. Fancy!!! Thanks, Uncle Pete, Tita Mabel and Joey. Gwen's looking forward to meeting Joey soon.
Gwen and her new outfit
A big thank you to the Aguiars (Lyndon, Sonia, Tatiana and Daniel) for the cute new outfit. A special thanks to Tatiana for picking it out. I think Gwen loves it.

An "awwwww...." moment
Christmas day 2005
Baby G was wearing her Christmas get-up around the house while her parents were desperately trying to capturre a portrait-studio-worthy photo. As her mother tried to wrangle her down to a sitting position on the sofa, G found one of her socks which she proceeded to pick-up and tried to put on...making for some cute pics. Judge for yourself.

Happy Holidays!
A belated Holiday greeting to all. I have been horribly remiss about keeping this site up to date. Well, keeping any site up to date for that matter.
However it is the new year and with it, the hope that I will be able to keep dear family and friends up to date on the Family Chung.
More photos are coming...
